10 Best East Coast Point Breaks

The 10 best east coast point breaks all boast the best waves along the Atlantic. Each of these areas have something special for surfers. All the areas have good and bad points.

  1. The Poles, Mayport Florida. Bordering Hanna State Park, The Poles is a unique mix of manmade jetty rocks and a natural reef. The year round waves puts this place at the top of the list of best east coast point breaks.
  2. Jax Pier, Jacksonville Beach Florida. The manmade fishing pier in the middle of Jacksonville Beach creates riding waves most of the year. For this reason, the spot makes the list of best east coast point breaks.
  3. Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, North Carolina. The rocks creating the jetty around the lighthouse create a continuous roll of riding waves. For this reason, Cape Hatteras makes the list of best east coast point breaks.

  9. Manasquan Inlet, New Jersey. Probably the most popular surf destination north of the Mason/Dixon line, Manaquan makes the list of best east coast point breaks. The biggest draw back of the area is the large crowds.
  10. Rye on the Rocks, New Hampshire. This little town is a big place for surfing. While the season is short, the amount of barrels during the spring season put Rye on the Rocks on the list of best east coast point breaks.
