Weightlifting can be a painfully boring process, but not with our 10 best weightlifting songs. Here's a list--in alphabetical order by band--of tunes to keep you enthusiastic and pumped up during your workout. Have fun building some muscle!

  1. Alien Ant Farm “Smooth Criminal” The rambunctious Alien Ant Farm’s cover of the Michael Jackson single made for massive mainstream success. The power chord driven, energetic and upbeat hit makes for one of the best weightlifting songs.

  2. Audioslave “Show Me How to Live” Explosive would be the best word to describe “Show Me How to Live. ” The band has always specialized in energy-driven songs that enliven. With ex-Soundgarden front man Chris Cornell's powerful vocals and the band's edgy rock instrumentation, "Live" will fill you with such intensity that weightlifting will be a breeze.

  3. Chevelle “Send the Pain Below” When this song kicks into its heavy choruses and its thrashing, scream-filled bridge, you’ll be pumping iron like it’s nothing. This weightlifting song won't let you down for a second.

  4. Disturbed “Voices” Metalheads Disturbed know how to make angry music--just the kind that’ll pump you up for a good workout. The vehement drums, the distorted guitars and the twisted lyrics, all make for a three-minute adrenaline rush.

  5. Eminem “Lose Yourself” Eminem's candid single has all the ingredients for a great weightlifting song. It's highly engaging, fun, lively and exciting. It also has a killer beat. What's more: It's well-paced. You won't have an issue losing yourself when listening to this weightlifting song.
  6. Fort Minor "Remember the Name" Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda knows how to create clever lyrics for songs with great beats. This song has both. This hip-hop joint is just the jolt you'll need. An essential weightlifting song, you won't forget "Remember the Name."
  7. Incubus “A Certain Shade of Green” A weightlifting song that wows. With palpable energy and exhilarating instrumentation, Incubus’ heaviest career hit is a super-charged, fierce tune that’ll leave you feeling intense. It's hands down one of the best weightlifting songs when exercising.

  8. Linkin Park “Points of Authority” Rap-metal rockers Linkin Park have the natural gift of getting people up and on their feet. "Points of Authority" is a fine example.  Such a fusion of musical genres, along with sampling by Mr. Hahn, is certain to get you amped.

  9. Red Hot Chili Peppers “Around the World” Talk about setting the mood. The single sound of Flea’s bass from the start indicates a song of greatness. From lead singer Anthony Kiedis' funky vocals and guitar god John Frusciante’s raw and catchy guitar lines to Flea’s superbly stylish bass and Chad Smith’s drum range, this makes for a must-have weightlifting song.

  10. System of a Down “Sugar” Fast, maniacal and raucous, it seems like the guys of System of a Down had a bit too much sugar (or some other substance) when they recorded this massively intense, head-banging hit. This makes for one of the best weightlifting songs that'll keep you going non-stop.
