10 Best Worst MPG Cars

With new government regulation forcing car companies to make more fuel efficient vehicles, it is interesting to note the 10 best worst MPG cars. These are the cars that may look nice, but get the worst MPG in the city, on the highway, or both. Many believe that such vehicles must be old, but the surprising fact is that the majority of these cars are extremely high-end vehicles with owners who can afford to foot the massive gas bill.

  1. 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago This Lamborghini gets a measly eight miles per gallon in the city and thirteen miles on the highway with an average of ten miles per gallon. It costs $7.55 to drive only 25 miles with a gas price of $3.09 making this manual 5-speed car's annual gas bill to be about $4,635.
  2. 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster Though smaller than its bigger brother the Lamborghini Murcielago, this Roadster equals its sibling in having one some of the worst MPG ratings. Also only getting eight miles per gallon in the city and thirteen miles per gallon highway this Roadster costs about $4,635 a year only in fuel costs.
  3. 2010 Aston Martin DB9 This twelve cylinder, 5.9L, six-speed manual super car does fare better than the Lamborghini Murcielago but not by much. Getting an average of eleven miles per gallon city and seventeen miles per gallon highway this premium-only gasoline car costs about $5.94 just to drive 25 miles.
  4. 2010 Aston Martin DBS Like its sibling the DB9, this DBS costs an average of $3,564 a year for premium fuel costs and gas.
  5. 2010 Bentley Continental GTC This highly coveted convertible may be extremely luxurious but also has one of the worst MPG of any car. Using only premium gasoline the GTC gets only ten MPG city and seventeen MPG highway with an estimated annual gasoline cost of $3,861.
  6. 2010 Bentley Azure Following in the GTC's carbon footsteps, the Azure also has one of the worst MPG. With nine miles per gallon city and fifteen miles per gallon highway, this 6L car costs an estimated $4,263 a year only in premium gasoline.
  7. 2010 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti This Italian supercar may be known worldwide but not for its poor fuel economy. Getting only nine MPG city and eleven MPG highway this premium gasolone only car has an estimated fuel cost of $4,213.
  8. 2010 Maybach 57 With twelve powerful cylinders this Maybach achieves only ten miles per gallon city and sixteen miles per gallon highway costing the owner an estimated $3,861 in fuel alone.
  9. 2010 Maybach 57S This automatic 5-speed 57S is a premium gasoline only car as well as only gets ten MPG city and sixteen MPG highway. Prepare to pay an estimated $3,861 a year just for gasoline if you plan on buying this luxury vehicle.
  10. 2010 Infiniti EX35 The best of the worst MPG in terms of fuel economy, this Infiniti gets sixteen MPG city and 23 MPG highway but still costs an estimated $2,438 a year just to fill her up.
