Do you want to find 10 cheap hotels in Las Vegas? First, you need to decide if you want to stay on the Strip, downtown, or at one of the hotels just off the Strip. These cheaper hotels offer great rates and freebies to keep their hotels full. Remember rooms are much cheaper on Sunday through Thursday.

1. A good, cheap hotel in Las Vegas is The Tropicana Located on the famous Four Corners, it was the first hotel to have a theme, in this case, a tropical "Island of Las Vegas" theme. The Tropicana, which has been there since the fifties and been remodeled several times, shares the corners with the following hotels: The Excalibur,  M.G.M. Grand, and New York, New York. 2. The Excalibur, across the street from the Tropicana, is another cheap hotel to consider in Las Vegas. The exterior looks like King's Arthur's Castle of Camelot fame, and it's a good place to go if you have children with you, since they have a huge arcade area. Excalibur: 3850 Las Vegas Blvd.
3. As you continue down the strip, take a look at the Flamingo Hotel, another cheap hotel in Vegas. The advantage of staying here is it's in the middle of Las Vegas Boulevard and within walking distance of some of the swankier places like Caesar's Palace and Paris. 4. Another cheap hotel, and another one good for families, is Circus, Circus. With its big top and huge neon clown outside, it will remind you of circus days past. 5. The Sahara, another cheap hotel in Las Vegas, is at the end of the strip at Las Vegas  Boulevard and West Sahara Avenue. It's one of the last old casinos from the Rat Pack days of the 50's and 60's. Don't let that bother you. They've jazzed it up with a Nascar Cafe. 6. If you drive up Sahara Avenue toward the mountains,  you'll find The Palace Station Casino. The locals look to the eight Station Hotels scattered around Las Vegas. 7. If  you want to stay off the old beaten path, you may want to give Arizona Charlie's a try. It's another local haunt, and if you want a relatively quiet place to play blackjack or slots, this may be the place. It's not close to the Strip, so it's not for everyone. 8. Drive Downtown to Fremont Street, a Mecca for cheap hotels in Las Vegas. Fremont Street is a pedestrian mall with casinos on all sides, and a canopy light show with over 10 million lights. 9. Another cheap hotel in downtown Las Vegas is the Four Queens. Nothing fancy here;  it's a good, basic hotel  You can get a room for around 20 dollars weekdays. Four Queens: 202 Fremont Street.
