  2. Make sure your shoes don't slide. If you tend to slide when bowling, buy some type of Velcro to stick on the heel of your shoe. This will obviously come in handy when bowling.

  4. Keep your arm swing free. Make sure you keep your grip relaxed when gripping the ball. Doing this will give you the ability to swing the ball from the shoulder, which will produce more accuracy and speed.
  5. Keep your hand at 45 degrees. This hand position is the easiest to use when bowling. This hand position involves the hand being partially under and to the side of the ball with the pinky fingers touching.
  6. Always bend your knee when swinging. Bend your knee to get down to the lane and slide your foot forward. This will give you a closer and better swing.
  7. Have the right ball position. If you're a fast bowler, hold the ball toward your knees. If you are an intermediate bowler, hold the ball toward your waist. If you are a slow bowler, hold it toward your shoulder.
  8. Get closer to the lane. If you don't feel like you're close enough to the lane when throwing the ball, get closer. It doesn't hurt to be a little closer when getting ready to shoot.
  9. Have the right shoulder position. Keep your shoulders parallel with the foul line when bowling. The best way to remember this is to act like you're trying to balance a cup on your shoulders without it falling off.
  10. Have the correct head position. This tip for bowling will prove very helpful to you. Keep your head up and look straight so that you know the precise spot to throw the ball.
