5 Autumn Chocolate Dessert Recipes

Autumn Chocolates

Ingredients:

  • 2 c. dark or bittersweet chocolate
  • 1 c. dried cranberries
  • 1 c. walnut pieces

Directions:

  1. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate.
  2. Fold in the cranberries and walnuts so they are coated.
  3. Drop the mixture by the teaspoon onto baking sheets covered with wax paper.
  4. Store in the refrigerator or a cold room until they get hard.

Autumn Chocolate Spice Cake

 Ingredients:

  • Yellow cake mix
  • 1 c. all purpose flour
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 5 tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1-1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 tsp. allspice
  • ½ bag chocolate chips1-2 tbsp. flour

 Directions:

  1. Preheat over to 350F.
  2. Chop chocolate chips with 1-2 tbsp. flour to prevent clumping.
  3. Sift cake mix and flour.
  4. In small bowl mix sour cream and one egg until smooth. Add rest of eggs one at a time and mix well.
  5. Add sugar and mix.
  6. Add butter and mix.
  7. Stir in spices, vanilla and chocolate chips.
  8. Bake for approximately 30 minutes.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2-1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. cloves
  • 1 15-oz. can pumpkin
  • 1 c. mini chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Set rack on second lowest position.
  3. Grease and flour Bundt pan.
  4. Blend sugar and oil in bowl and beat, adding eggs.
  5. Combine dry ingredients and add to egg mix along with the pumpkin.
  6. Add chocolate chips.
  7. Put mixture in Bundt pan.
  8. Bake 60-65 minutes.

Mocha Chip Bundt Cake

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. instant coffee
  • ½ c. hot water
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 box instant chocolate pudding mix
  • ¾ c. sour cream
  • ½ vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1-1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Glaze:

  • ¾ c. whipping cream
  • 1-1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

 Directions:

  1. Dissolve coffee granules in hot water in mixing bowl.
  2. Beat cake mix, pudding mix, sour cream, oil and eggs together.
  3. Stir in chocolate chips.
  4. Pour mix into greased and floured 10” fluted tube pan.
  5. Bake at 350F for one hour.
  6. Cool 30 minutes then turn upside down on plate.
  7. Heat whipping cream, remove from heat, and mix in chocolate chips until smooth.
  8. Drizzle glaze over cake.

 Grandma D’s White Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Spice Cake

 Ingredients:

  • 1 box spice cake
  • 1/3 c. vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c. white chocolate chips
  • 1 c. cooked or canned pumpkin
  • 2/3 c. evaporated milk
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon

 Glaze:

  1. Heat 1/3 c. evaporated milk to boil.
  2. Remove from heat and add remaining white chocolate chips.
  3. Stir until chips are melted.
  4. Add ½ tsp. cinnamon.
  5. Stir.

Directions:

  1. Grease and flour Bundt pan.
  2. Preheat oven to 350F.
  3. Combine cake mix, pumpkin, eggs, oil and 1/3 c. evaporated milk.
  4. Blend on low speed until moist. Beat at medium speed 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in 1 c. white chocolate chips.
  6. Pour into Bundt pan.
  7. Bake 40-45 minutes.
  8. Cool 25 minutes.
  9. Turn cake upside down on cake plate and finish cooling.
  10. Drizzle glaze over cake.
