"Veggie Tales" "Veggie Tales" has been around since 1992. Veggie Tales is a Christian based children's show that is produced through Big Idea Productions. "Veggie Tales" was created by computer animators Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki who's aim was to produce children's videos which teach kids Christian moral themes, Biblical values and lessons. What makes this fun for kids though is that it features a group of talking animated vegetables who all live on a counter top.
- "The Chronicles of Narnia" "The Chronicles of Narnia" is a series of fantasy films from Walden Media based on the book series, "Chronicles of Narnia" by C.S. Lewis. The movies are great at keeping kids entertained and parents are able to use it as a teaching tool when it comes to teaching Bible stories to their kids.
"Hermie and Friends" "Hermie and Friends" is a series of movies, books, music, games and toys for kids all by the Christian author Max Lucado. This collection is in both Spanish and English, which is great if you are a home school parent and trying to teach your child Spanish.
- "3-2-1 Penguins" "3-2-1 Penguins" is another animated cartoon series by Big Idea Productions that came out November 2000. This is another trustworthy series for your kids to watch. In every episode, the main characters, Jason and Michelle, use their imaginations and go on adventures into outer space using a toy spaceship and four penguin figurines. At the beginning of every episode, the kids are given a lesson based on a verse from the Bible by their grandmother and during the adventure the kids find themselves applying this lesson to solve whatever problem they're facing.
- "Adventures in Odyssey" "Adventures in Odyssey" started back in the 80s and is said to be a tad old-fashioned in what is taught in the movies, but it is still one of the more popular series. It has a lot of great Biblical lessons and is great for more "old-fashioned" beliefs systems.
These are all great programs that both kids and adults can enjoy while learning about Jesus Christ and his teachings. For kids, seeing the Christian practices put into action really helps them understand what you are teaching them when it comes to the Christian faith. All five of these movies and Christian series are very popular among kids. If you want your kids to be entertained and learn at the same time, these are your best bet!
