Make strawberry infused rum by filling a sterilized container with tight lid with freshly washed halved strawberries and covering them with light or dark rum. Let the container sit for one to two week in a cool dark place. Check the flavor after a week. For a more intense strawberry flavor, wait two to three weeks before testing the flavor.

Warning:

When shaking a cocktail in a cocktail shaker with ice, do not shake for more than 20 seconds to avoid diluting the cocktail and ruining the flavor.
