The 5 best Georgia government jobs are those jobs that make it satisfying to serve the people of that state. They are also jobs that you mostly can't get fired from (unless you get said job by direct election as opposed to being appointed) so they seem to have some job security about them, which is what many voters hate, actually.

  1. Georgia Governor. It kind of goes without saying that the best Georgia government job is the Governor of Georgia. The reason is that you are the biggest fish in the state, the state's CEO, the man or woman who is in charge of running the state for the term of your election. You are directly answerable to the voters, however, which means you will get fired in the next election if you don't do your job well.
  2. Georgia State Senator. The second best Georgia government job is being a Georgia state senator because you are a member of Georgia's upper house of legislators. As a state senator in this upper house, one of your most important obligations also includes confirming the appointments of Georgia's Governors, which means you get to control to a certain extent whether the Governor actually gets his job!
  3. Georgia House Representative. The third best Georgia government job is being member of the Georgia House of Representatives. While you are a member of the lower house of the Georgia state legislature, you have exclusive duties that state senators don't enjoy. For instance, you get to bring forth appropriations bills (meaning you control what gets spent on what) and influence where taxpayer dollars are directed.
  4. Georgia Supreme Court Justice. The Georgia Supreme Court Justice is the fourth best government job in Georgia because you are a part of the highest judicial authority in the entire state! As such, you have powers that include making all-important, life-changing decisions and rulings for every person who resides in the state of Georgia.
  5. Georgia Court of Appeals Justice. The last spot on this list of the best government jobs in Georgia goes to being a justice on the Georgia Court of Appeals. The reason is simple: As a Justice here, you get to review cases that lower courts have looked at and even overturn them if enough of your peers agree with you.
