5 Best SNL Digital Shorts

Choosing the five best SNL digital shorts is no easy task. Here are just a few of the best that every fan of Saturday Night Live should see.

  1. "Lazy Sunday." One of the first SNL digital shorts, "Lazy Sunday" is also one of the best. It features Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell rapping about a weekend trip to see "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe." The lyrics offer some real gems, including, "you can call us Aaron Burr cause we're droppin' Hamiltons."
  2. "Dick in a Box." Perhaps the most notorious of all SNL digital shorts, this video features Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake singing to their lovers about a special gift. The song even offers instructions on giving this special gift to your own lady friend: "Step one, cut a hole in the box. Step two, put your junk in that box. Step three, make her open the box. And that's the way you do it."
  3. "Jizz in my Pants." Another of the more explicit SNL digital shorts, the premise of "Jizz in my Pants" is exactly what it sounds like. Andy Samberg and Jorma Taccone play two guys who seem to lose it at the slightest provocation. Justin Timberlake even makes a cameo appearance as a disgusted janitor in the grocery store.
  4. "Brian Diaries." For those of you who don't know, Brian Williams is funny. I mean, seriously funny. And yes, we're talking about the news anchor. In number four of the best SNL digital shorts, we get to see what a day in the life of Brian Williams is like. This day in the life includes standing outside Rockefeller Center while waiting for someone to recognize him, and chucking pennies out the window onto the heads of Matt Lauer and Al Roker. He delivers this absurdity in his perfect, deadpan manner.
  5. "Zach Drops by the Set." Zach Galifinakis shows up on the sets of some of our favorite programs, including "30 Rock," "Law & Order," and "NBC Nightly News." Galifinakis could pretty much just stare into the camera and still be funny, but seeing him awkwardly encroach on these shows is downright hilarious. The appearance of a young, bearded Zach makes this one of the five best SNL digital shorts.
