5 Brandy Drink Recipes

Brandy is defined as any spirit that is made from distilled grape wine and these 5 brandy drink recipes will add a punch to any get together or just a night at home. Although brandy is made all over the world, the majority of the brandy consumed in the US is made right in California.

 

The New Old Fashioned

  • 2 oz Brandy
  • dash of Bitters
  • 3 oz Grapefruit soda
  • Maraschino Cherry
  1. Mix all ingredients in an Old-fashioned glass.
  2. Add cherry and garnish with an orange slice.

 

Yellow Fingers

  • 1 1/2 oz. Gin
  • 3/4 oz. Blackberry Brandy
  • 1/2 oz. Creme de Banana
  • 1/2 oz. cream
  1. Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake and then strain into a chilled martini glass.

 

Corpses Reviver

A perfect follow up to a great piece of meat, the Corpse Reviver is a classic from the 1940s.

  • 1 1/2 oz. Brandy
  • 1/2 Fernet Branca
  • 1 oz. White Cream de Menthe
  1. Combine ingredients in a glass filled with ice.
  2. Stir and then drain into a chilled cocktail glass.

 

Depth Bomb

  • 1 1/2 oz. Brandy
  • 1 1/2 oz. Apple Brandy
  • 1/2 tsp Grenadine
  • 1/2 tsp Lemon Juice
  1. Combine all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake and strain into a chilled martini glass.

 

Bloody Black Currant Punch

This make a great punch for a Halloween party because of its dark bloody color.

  • 1 1/4 cups Brandy
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 4 cups black currant nectar
  • 1 1/2 cups cold seltzer
  1. Stir bandy and sugar in a large bowl.
  2. Add nectar. Stir to combine.
  3. Refrigerate until cold.
  4. Add seltzer just before serving.
