Everyone has car paint scratches on the surface of their car, but you are going to want to use these 5 car paint scratch removal tips to help remove them. These easy tips will not only get rid of those pesky scratches, but do it without breaking the bank.

  1. Try paint instead of wax and buffing product. Simply dip a toothpick in spare car paint that matches the exterior. This can help in removing those pesky deep car paint scratches.
Remove scratches in areas that can be buffered. The most important step in any scratch removal job is the buffing. It allows the compound to deeply penetrate the layers of paint and effectively remove the scratch. If you try to remove a scratch in an area that can't be buffered, it will not be an effective job.
  2. Washing the car first is important. You want to make sure that no dirt or debris affects the unprotected portions of your car. Always thoroughly wash the exterior before you start buffing and waxing the car. This usually the most skipped step which can cause undesirable results after the buff job.
  3. Never attempt to remove scratches in direct sunlight. Doing so will discolor the exterior of your car and completely defeat the purpose of removing the scratch.
  4. Always dry the car. Allowing soaps and solvent to hit your unprotected car exterior can severely harm it and cause paint discoloration. Take a fine cloth to make sure the care is dry before proceeding.

These car paint scratch removal tips are extremely cost effective. If any job seems too big, contact a professional.
