Coming up with creative ways to ask a girl out can be the first step in getting a girl to go out with you. Most girls are used to the standard telephone invitation to dinner and would welcome a more creative approach to being asked out.

  1. Send flowers. One of the most creative ways to ask a girl out is to choose a bouquet of flowers you think she'd like and send it to her home or workplace. On the attached note ask her if she'll go out with you. Make sure to include your phone number if she doesn't already have it.

  2. Get formal. If you're throwing a party in the near future or have another type of special event coming up, send her a formal written invitation. Include in the wording that you're inviting her as your date.

  3. Spell it out. Do you know where the girl you'd like to ask out lives or know you'll cross paths regularly? Choose an area where you know she'll see your message and spell out a “Will you go out with me?” message for her with rocks or pebbles, for example. If you don't expect to be with her when she discovers your message, make sure to spell out your name at the end so she knows who the message is from.

  4. Get in the holiday spirit. Is a special holiday around the corner, such as Valentine's Day or Christmas? Seize the opportunity and have a singing messenger or group of carolers deliver your date invitation. Creative ways to ask a girl out such as this idea are sure to leave a lasting impression.

  5. Keep it low key. Especially with a girl on the shy side, consider a low-pressure yet creative way to ask a girl out. Invite her to a group outing with several friends (preferable other couples) to an event such as a movie, local fair or festival. Starting out on a group date at such an event lets you enjoy time as a group, lets you and your date get to know each other better and allows for the group to split up into their respective dates after the main event is over.
