5 Easy Meals To Cook

Every guy should have at least 5 easy meals to cook on hand. If you are not the best cook and need something simple and easy to cook, here is a list of 5 meals that should be no problem for you.

  1. Quick and easy western meal in one. The ingredients you will need for this meal include: 1 lb. ground beef, 1 tbsp. vegetable oil, 1 clove garlic, 1/2 c. chopped onion,1/2 c. chopped green onion, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. chili powder, 1 can of red beans (drained), 2 1/2 c. tomatoes with juice (chopped), 3/4 c. uncooked rice, 3/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese, and 1/4 c. sliced black olives. Brown the beef in vegetable oil with garlic. Add onion and green pepper. Cook until the onion is tender. Drain off all the fat. Combine the meat mixture, salt, chili powder, beans, rice and tomatoes in a 2 quart casserole dish. Cover the dish and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Uncover the dish and sprinkle on some cheese and olives. Bake it for 15 more minutes. This meal contains six to eight servings.
  2. Quick and easy hamburger meal. For this meal, you will need the following ingredients: 1 to 2 lbs. ground beef or chuck, 1/4 c. of an onion, chopped, 1 box of macaroni & cheese, and 1 can tomato soup. Brown the beef and onion in a skillet. Cook the macaroni and cheese as directed on the box. Add the tomato soup to the browned meat. When everything is done, add all of it together and you‘re done.
  3. Quick and easy chicken meal. The ingredients needed for this easy meal include: 4 chicken breasts (split, boned & skinned), salt and pepper to taste, 6 slices of Swiss cheese, 1 can of cranberry sauce, 1/4 lb. melted butter, 1 can cream of chicken soup, and 2 cupsPepperidge Farm stuffing mix. Once you have all the ingredients, place the chicken into a casserole dish and cover it with cheese. Mix the soup and cranberry sauce until it is smooth (do not add any water). Pour the mixture over the chicken. Mix together the melted butter, soup, and stuffing mix. Sprinkle on top of the mixture of soup, cranberry sauce, and chicken. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 45 minutes. Make sure you check out the dish several times while it is cooking to make sure it does not over cook.
  4. Quick and easy fish cakes. To make this meal, the ingredients you will need include: 1 piece fish, 1 egg, 1 small, chopped onion, 1/4 cup flour, 1/4 cup corn meal, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. lemon juice. To make this you must mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Drop by teaspoon into hot oil. Brown both sides and drain on paper towels and there you go! You're all done.
  5. Corned beef hash. To cook corned beef has you will need: 2 tbsp. vegetable oil, 8 oz. cooked corned beef (diced), 1 white onion (finely chopped), 1 bell pepper (finely chopped), 2 medium baking potatoes (about 2 cups, peeled and shredded), 4 tbsp. unsalted butter, 4 large eggs, Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, and 4 slices cheddar cheese (about 2 oz.). Once you have the ingredients, over high heat, heat the oil in a medium skillet. Add and cook the corned beef. Stir it with a wooden spoon, until it releases some fat and has browned slightly (this should take about 3 minutes). Stir the onion, bell pepper, and potatoes and cook (undisturbed), until brown and crisp on the bottom (about 6 minutes). Continue to cook, turning the hash as it browns evenly (about 15 more minutes). In the mean time, heat up the butter in a nonstick skillet over a medium-high heat. Fry the eggs sunny-side up or over easy. Season the eggs with salt and pepper. Take the cheese slices and place it on top of the hash, reduce the heat and let it sit until the cheese has melted (about 1 minute) and you’re done.
