Here are 5 gross Halloween recipes for you! Of course, some folks just seem to have a knack for serving really gross and really disgusting party food. Others may need some help. Halloween is the perfect time to go out of your way to serve really gross party food.... and here are five suggested gross Halloween recipes that can help you do it. Despite looking gross, all five are not only edible but actually quite tasty.

Stuffed Roaches are the perfect gross Halloween appetizer.

Here's what you will need:

  • pitted dates
  • cream cheese
  • chopped walnuts

Not only are these "roaches" gross, but your guests will actually enjoy eating them too!

Instructions:

  1. Simply make a mixture of cream cheese and chopped walnuts.
  2. Get a bunch of pitted dates.
  3. Put the cream cheese mixture into the dates.
  4. Make sure your guests are grossed out by decorating the platter with fake roaches.

Jello Brain Mold can serve as your main course. 

The ingredients:

  • cooked shrimp
  • unflavored gelatin
  • chicken broth
  • tomato paste
  • lemon juice
  • Cajun seasoning

Brain molds meant for gelatin are sold commercially, but you don't need one to get a creepy- looking main course for your Halloween party. You could also use a glass or plastic bowl for this recipe.

Instructions:

  1. Start start with a couple of pounds of cooked shrimp.
  2. Make up a very tasty mixture using unflavored gelatin, chicken broth instead of water,  tomato paste, lemon juice and some great spices like Cajun and garlic. Mix your gelatin concoction and cook  on the stove.
  3. Spread the shrimp around the bottom of the bowl.
  4. Pour your warm gelatin mixture over them.
  5. Let your brain mold set in the fridge several hours.
  6. Now turn the bowl upside down and unmold the "brains" onto a platter. Yuck!

Edible Ashtray is a gross but delicious chocolate concoction.

Here's what you will need:

  • one package Oreo cookies
  • confectioner's sugar
  • candy cigarettes

 Instructions:

  1. Mash up Oreo cookies into fine crumbs.
  2. Mix in confectioner's sugar until you get "ashes". Pour into a clean never-used ashtray.
  3. Stick some candy cigarettes into the mixture for an authentic look.

Used Q-Tips wll give a gross and disgusting look to your party.

Here's what you will need:

  • package of small marshmallows
  • drinking straws
  • jar of prepared caramel sauce

This gross Halloween recipe is easy, too!

Instructions:

  1. Stick small marshmallows onto the ends of regular drinking straws.
  2. Dip just the ends of the marshmallows into prepared caramel sauce.
  3. Put out a box of Q-tips next to your delicious and fun "used Q-tips

Chocolate Covered Ants are easy and delicious.

Here's what you will need:

  • box of chocolate covered raisins

This is probably the easiest of all gross Halloween recipes.

Instructions:

  1. Buy a box of chocolate covered raisins.
  2. Chop them into ant-sized pieces.
  3. Serve on a platter.
