5 Halloween Cookie Recipes

Halloween is not only for the kids these days, and there is no better way to celebrate the kid in all of us than by making these 5 Halloween cookie recipes.

Halloween Cake Mix Cookies

Ingredients:

  • Box vanilla cake mix
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup Halloween sprinkles
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Mix all ingredients.
  3. Drop by spoonfuls onto non-stick pan.
  4. Bake for eight to ten minutes.

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup pumpkin
  • One egg
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tbsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 or 4 drops red food coloring
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chips
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 365 F.
  2. Combine all dry ingredients and chocolate chips.
  3. Blend all wet ingredients in a separate bowl, adding the food coloring last.
  4. Slowly combine all ingredients.
  5. Bake for twelve minutes.

Halloween Cookie Balls

Ingredients:

  • Box of chocolate cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 1 box of instant pudding
  • 1 (16oz) tub of frosting
  • 1 (30z) bar of white candy coating
  • 1 to 3 drops orange food coloring
  • Tube of black icing or gel
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Prepare mix according to box, adding the extra egg and box of instant pudding.
  3. Crumble cooled cake into a large bowl.
  4. Mix the container of frosting into the cake crumbles.
  5. Melt the candy coating in a microwave safe bowl or double boiler.
  6. Add the food coloring to desired shade.
  7. Form the cake mixture into balls and dip into the orange coating using a toothpick.
  8. Allow to cool.
  9. Finish by adding faces.

Crazy Chip, Spice Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 3/4 tsp pie spice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 melted margarine
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp and 2 tsp light molasses
  • 1/4 bag butterscotch chips
  • 1/4 bag white chocolate chips 
  1. Preheat oven to 330 F.
  2. Blend together all dry ingredients well.
  3. Toss chips into dry ingredients.
  4. Blend together all wet ingredients.
  5. Lightly combine both dry and wet ingredients.
  6. Drop by spoonfuls onto non-stick cookie sheet.
  7. Bake for ten minutes.

Halloween Marshmallow Treats

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 5 cups rice cereal
  • Halloween cookie cutters
  • Halloween sprinkles
  1. Melt the butter in a big pot on low.
  2. Add the marshmallows and allow to melt.
  3. Cook for two minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and add rice cereal.
  5. Press into a greased 13x9 cake pan.
  6. Decorate with sprinkles.
  7. Cool.
  8. Cut out Halloween shapes.
