  1. Prevention for heart disease- One of the first health benefits of olive oil is how it prevents one from heart disease.  Extra virgin olive oil is rich with 40 anti-oxidants and contains 88 percent vitamin E.  This helps raises HDL, the good cholesterol, and lower the oxidation effects of LDL, the bad cholesterol, which leads to a healthy heart reducing the risk of heart attacks and heart disease.
  2. Against Cancer – Protecting the body against getting cancer is a health benefit of olive oil.  Olive oil has oleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid that protects the body against cancer cells and their growth especially in colon, breast, and skin cancer.
  3. Boost Metabolism- Another health benefit of olive oil is helping boost metabolism.  With a boosted metabolism due to excellent source of vitamin E found in olive oil leads to weight loss. Adding monounsaturated fats like olive oil to your diet makes it difficult to gain excess weight—who can complain about that?
  4. Anti-Inflammatory- Anti-inflammatory is also a health benefit of olive oil.  Regular use of olive oil lowers the rate of asthma and rheumatoid arthritis.  Again the monounsaturated fats reduce inflammation therefore reduce the severity of arthritis symptoms and prevents asthma.
  5. Anti-Aging- The last but not the least health benefit of olive oil is great for anti-aging.  Olive oil is amazing for the skin giving it natural glow and slackens the natural aging process. Olive oil aids digestion to help absorb nutrients, vitamins and minerals that helps slow down the aging process.

Go ahead and use the olive oil.  Put olive oil in your salad, dip your bread in it and even cook with it.
