If you've recently graduated from college, keep in mind the 5 highest paying entry level jobs. Lots of jobs offer great pay to qualified people with little to no experience. Some of them require degrees in a specialized field, but some you can snag right out of high school.  Another great benefit to these jobs is that since these are entry-level positions, they likely have great promotional opportunities.

1. Nurses are among the highest paid entry level employees. This position does require a degree, but most programs can be completed within two years. There are always shortages of qualified nurses and lots of cities have programs that will even pay for your education if you agree to work for them. Plus organizations offer great incentives like retirement packages, health insurance, and lots of paid leave. Most nurses have a starting salary of $60,000 per year.
2. Firefighters are extremely well paid and most cities pay for training. The average starting salary for a firefighter is over $50,000 dollars a year! In addition, becoming a firefighter does not require a degree.  In a couple of years most firefighters also get promotions and are able to advance within the fire squad. The coolest bonus is that most departments allow you to retire at only 45 years old.
3. Air traffic controllers are very well paid. This exciting career takes quite a long time to actually get hired for-due to the extensive testing that’s required, but it is well worth the wait. You do need to have perfect vision, a clean criminal background, and score high on the air traffic controller exam, but no degree is required. Air traffic controllers can be paid at least $100,000 per year, so it’s definitely worth looking into.
4. Funeral directors make a great income too. This career requires no bachelor’s degree, but does require a certain personality. Not many people want to work with dead people, but if you can handle it, this career starts off at $80,000 a year. Not too shabby at all. It might be creepy and sad because you would have to deal with grieving families.
5. Dental hygienists earn a great living with limited education required. Most dental hygienist programs can be completed within two years and they have a starting salary of $60,000 per year. The best part is that this job can be pretty flexible and usually is great for people with families. This is because you won’t deal with emergencies. All you have to do is be there for your scheduled dental appointments.
