Saucy Tomato Ribs



  • 2 lbs. of country-cut pork ribs
  • 1 28 oz. can of crushed tomatoes
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 2 tbsp. of quick cooking tapioca
  • 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. hot sauce
  1. Combine country-cut pork ribs and crushed tomatoes. Throw them into your crock pot.
  2. Dice celery, green pepper, onion and garlic. Add them to the pot.
  3. Measure and add quick cooking tapioca, sugar and 1/4 tsp. (or to taste) of hot sauce.
  4. Cover and cook on high for four to five hours or on low for eight to ten hours. Be sure to stir occasionally. Salt and pepper to taste.

Philly Cheese Steaks



  • 2 lbs. sirloin steak
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup of beef broth
  • 1 clove of garlic
  1. Chop up  lbs. of good sirloin steak and lay to the side.
  2. Slice two onions and one green pepper. Lay them in the bottom of your slow cooker. Lay the steak on top of the vegetables.
  3. Whisk together 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 cup of beef broth and one minced clove of garlic and pour it in.
  4. Cook on low for six to eight hours or on high three to four hours. Serve with provolone and low carb bread.

Curry Turkey Apple Stew



  • 2 tbsps. olive oil
  • 1 1/4 lbs. of turkey breast cutlets
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 stalks of celery
  • 2 medium apples
  • 3 medium carrots
  • 2 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp. of curry powder
  • 2 thyme leaves
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet and lightly brown 1-1/4 pounds of turkey breast cutlets and cut into strips.
  2. Transfer them to your slow cooker and add one large onion cut into wedges and three stalks of sliced celery.
  3. Chop up two apples and slice three carrots. Add these to the pot.
  4. Measure two cups of chicken broth and one tbsp. (or to taste) of curry powder and add them.
  5. Throw in a couple of thyme leaves and cook on high for four to six hours or on low six to eight hours. Take out the thyme before serving.

Meaty Chicken Chili



  • 2 lbs. boneless chicken breast
  • 2 tbsp. of butter or margarine
  • 4 stalks of celery
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 small bunch of scallions
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 3/4 cup of chicken stock
  • 1 28 oz. can of diced tomatoes with green chiles
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 tsp. of cumin
  • 1 tbsp. of chili powder
  1. Turn on your slow cooker and let it heat up while you chop four stalks of celery, one red bell pepper, one small bunch of scallions and one clove of garlic.
  2. Saute the vegetables in butter in the bottom of the crock pot until they begin to get soft.
  3. Add two pounds of boneless chicken breast cut into bite sized pieces.
  4. Saute the chicken until it is lightly browned.
  5. Combine chicken stock, diced tomatoes with green chiles and one cup of water.
  6. Throw the mixture into the pot. Measure and add one tsp. of cumin and one tbsp. of chili powder. Both of these spices can be added to taste.
  7. Cook on high for one hour, and then turn the heat to low for an additional four to five hours. Serve with cheddar cheese.

BBQ Pulled Pork



  • 5 lb. pork shoulder
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/2 cup of cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup of tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup Splenda sweetener
  • 2 tbsp. of mustard
  • 2 tbsp. of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. of black pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. of liquid smoke
  1. Trim the fat from the pork shoulder and cut into stew size pieces.
  2. Chop onion and throw the pork and the onion into your slow cooker.
  3. Mix together cider vinegar, tomato sauce, Splenda, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, one tsp. (or to taste) of cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt and liquid smoke.
  4. Pour the mixture over the pork. Cook on low for eight to ten hours. Serve with low carb bread.
