5 Paula Deen Thanksgiving Dessert Recipes

These 5 Paula Deen thanksgiving recipes will make a great end to any Thanksgiving dinner. Many of these recipes are so simple that you might be induced to make more than one to really tempt your guests.

1. Apple Butter Pumpkin Pie

To make apple butter pumpkin pie, you will need:

  • 1 cup apple butter
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. ginger
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 pre-made pie shell, 9 inches
  • Whipped cream
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Mix apple butter, pumpkin, sugar, spices and salt in a bowl.
  3. Stir in eggs
  4. Add milk and mix thoroughly.
  5. Bake for 40 minutes.

2. Chocolate Pecan Pie

To make chocolate pecan pie, you will need:

  • 1 pre-made pie shell, 9 inches
  • 2 cups pecans
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp. bourbon
  • 3 oz. semisweet chocolate
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Cover bottom of pie crust with pecans.
  3. Combine eggs and melted butter.
  4. Add corn syrup, sugar, bourbon and chocolate to egg mixture.
  5. Pour ingredients into pie shell.
  6. Bake for ten minutes.
  7. Lower oven temperature to 350 degrees, without removing pie from oven.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes.
  9. Let cool completely before serving.

3. Crunch Top Apple Pie

To make crunch top apple pie, you will need:

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3 1/2 cups chopped baking apples
  • 1, 16 oz. jar of applesauce
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • Crunch topping:
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt in a bowl.
  3. Stir apples, applesauce and lemon juice in flour mixture.
  4. Place mixture in pie shell and dog with pieces of butter.
  5. Create crunch topping by mixing all three ingredients together.
  6. Sprinkle on top of pie.
  7. Bake at 425 degrees for ten minutes
  8. Reduce heat to 350, and bake for 45 minutes.

4. Peach Cobbler

To make peach cobbler, you will need:

  • 4 cups peaches, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 8 tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • Cinnamon
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. In saucepan, combine peaches, one cup of sugar and water and boil for ten minutes.
  3. Melt butter in a baking dish in oven.
  4. Mix remaining sugar, flour and milk.
  5. Pour sugar mixture over melted butter.
  6. Add peaches and sprinkle top with cinnamon.
  7. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes.

5. Crème de Menthe Brownies

To make crème de menthe brownies, you will need:

  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1, 10 oz. package crème de menthe baking chips
  • 1, 12 oz. can chocolate frosting
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease glass dish sized 13 x 9 inches.
  3. Combine butter, sugar in bowl and beat with electric mixer until creamy.
  4. Add eggs and mix until combined.
  5. Add vanilla, mix thoroughly.
  6. Mix flour, cocoa and baking powder in a separate bowl.
  7. Add flour mixture to butter.
  8. Mix in mint chips.
  9. Pour mixture into greased pan.
  10. Bake for 35 minutes.
  11. Remove from oven and let cool.
  12. Cover with chocolate frosting.
