5 Slow Cooker Reci Turkey Breast

Looking for 5 slow cooker recipes for turkey breast? Turkey breast is a savory meat which can easily be prepared in a crock pot. Slow cookers are especially useful for a man with a full time job. Ingredients can be prepared in advance and left in the slow cooker which can be controlled with a timer. The slow cooker does its job while you do yours, and at the end of the day come home to a ready-to-eat turkey feast.

Turkey Tacos

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless turkey breast
  • 3 cups water
  • ½ cup lemon juice (fresh or concentrate)
  • 1 chicken flavored bouillon cube
  • 8 (8-inch) flour tortillas
  • Garnishes: lettuce, cheese, ripe olives, salsa, green onions, sour cream, guacamole.

Steps

  1. Place turkey and water into slow cooker.
  2. Add bouillon cube and ½ cup lemon juice.
  3. Cover with lid.
  4. Cook on High for 3-4 hours, until turkey falls apart when separated with a fork. Drain fluids.
  5. Using two forks, shred turkey breast to make shredded turkey.
  6. Warm tortillas per directions on the package.
  7. Serve with garnishes.

Slow Cooker Thanksgiving Turkey

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 pounds boneless turkey breast
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ½ tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 16-ounce can cranberries
  • ½ cup apple cider or apple juice
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard powder
  • ¼  teaspoon allspice
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup cold water

Steps

  1. Cut turkey breast in half and place turkey breast into slow cooker with the skin side facing up.
  2. Mix sugar, cranberry sauce, apple cider vinegar, apple cider, garlic, mustard, allspice, cinnamon, and cloves in a mixing bowl to make a marinade.
  3. Baste the turkey with marinade.
  4. Cover with lid.
  5. Cook on Low for 5-6 hours or until meat thermometer readers 170ºF.
  6. Remove turkey and strain cooking juices.
  7. Using slow cooker, combine flour and water on high heat, stirring until smooth.
  8. Add juices to flour/water, stirring until thick, to create gravy.
  9. Serve gravy over sliced turkey.

Turkey with Bacon in a Pot

Ingredients:

  • 10 slices crispy bacon
  • 6 pounds bone-in skinless turkey breast
  • ¼  teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black ground pepper
  • 1 can turkey gravy
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Steps

  1. Crumble crispy bacon.
  2. Spray inside of slow cooker with cooking spray and place turkey into the slow cooker.
  3. Season with garlic powder and ground pepper.
  4. Mix crumbled bacon, turkey gravy, flour, Worcestershire sauce, and sage in a mixing bowl to make a marinade.
  5. Pour marinade over turkey.
  6. Cover with lid.
  7. Cook on Low for 8 hours.

Turkey Chili

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds ground turkey breast
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 Carroll Shelby's White Chicken Chili kit
  • 1 15-ounce can of drained white beans

Steps

  1. Brown ground turkey in olive oil in a skillet and drain.
  2. Place turkey in slow cooker with water, chili kit and white beans.
  3. Cover with lid.
  4. Cook on Low for 5-6 hours, stirring often.
  5. Optional ingredients include: chopped onion, chopped green peppers, stewed or diced tomatoes.
  6. Serve with tortilla chips and shredded jack cheese or sour cream.

Turkey Roast

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds boneless turkey breast
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup of peeled baby carrots
  • 1 cup of small white potatoes
  • 1 10-ounce can cream of mushroom soup

Steps

  1. Place peeled baby carrots in slow cooker.
  2. Halve small white potatoes and place in slow cooker.
  3. Place turkey into slow cooker.
  4. Combine cream of mushroom soup and water, and pour over turkey, carrots and potatoes.
  5. Cover with lid.
  6. Cook on Low for 5-6 hours.
