The 5 ultimate "Star Wars" costumes require creativity and ingenuity to craft, or perhaps juts a little hard-earned money. While there are far too many incredible "Star Wars" costumes to choose from, we selected just a few in unique categories to help cater to your specific requirements for an intergalactic costume. Any of these clever concepts will be a hit at your next Halloween or costume party.

  1. Ultimate "Star Wars" Costume for a couple : If you decide to chose Han Solo and Princess Leia costumes, Leia can wear the white turtle neck gown from "A New Hope." This dress works with the classic Leia "Cinnamon Bun" hairstyle. Leia's white ceremonial gown from the same film is another popular choice. Leia also wears a stunning brown dress in "Return of the Jedi" when she spends some time in the Ewok village. The hair is simple in this costume; long and loose. Han is easier to plan since he basically wears one outfit throughout the trilogy. A good dark pair of blue jeans with some heavy-duty boots, a long sleeve collared shirt and a black leather vest is standard. If you want to recreate that romantic first kiss scene in "Empire Strikes Back" Leia will need her all white body suit and puffy vest. Make sure she has a blaster gun. Put Han in his basic outfit and a blue navy jacket. Just walk around saying "You like me because I'm a scoundrel. There aren't enough scoundrels in your life," and kiss.
  2. Ultimate "Star Wars" Costume for a child: To a "Star Wars" fan, little Ewok children are pretty adorable. This can be done fairly easily by purchasing a child's teddy bear costume, and making a few slight alterations. Remove the bear's face because your child is way cuter anyway, and buy a dark tan or light brown pillow case. Cut holes in the pillow case for the teddy bear ears, and the face and drape the hood over your child. It should go down past his shoulders. Using brown eye-liner draw a little brown nose on your child's nose, and finish the outfit off with a spear tipped walking stick.
  3. Ultimate "Star Wars" Costume for a female: Okay fellows, this idea is for that special lady in your life. Perhaps she thought of this by herself, but if not,  with a little encouragement you may be able to convince her to don the iconic "Princess Leia in the Gold Bikini" for your next costume party. Or maybe just for you. There are numerous places in which one could buy a version of this costume, and it can also be made from scratch with a little ingenuity. Leia's hair is almost as important as her attire, so remember this costume calls for a long braid It should first wrap around the head before falling down her back. There are also wigs that can get the job done. Finish the costume with a chain wrapped loosely around her neck.
  4. Ultimate "Star Wars Return of the Sith" Costume: The Emperor vs Yoda is a clever father/son costume. Yoda is perhaps the most powerful Jedi and The Emperor is the architect of the Dark Side in this galaxy far far away. The Emperor needs a long, dark, hooded cloak. Use make-up to play up those menacing wrinkles and scars on his face, or find a latex mask if that's easier. Don't forget that his light saber is red. Yoda definitely requires a mask and he will also need a cloak. Yoda's, however, is green with a hood. His light saber is also green.
  5. Ultimate "Star Wars Return of the Jedi" Costume: All the episodes culminate in that iconic moment when Luke, finally finished with his Jedi training and armed with the knowledge of his past, steps up to claim his birthright. This is a powerful moment for fans of the franchise, and no "Star Wars" costume countdown would be complete without this epic Luke attire. He'll need a heavy dark brown Jedi cloak over a long black shirt and pants. He also needs black boots and a black belt from which he can hang his green light saber. Don't forget a black leather glove to cover his mechanical hand.
