5 Winter Fruit Salad Recipes

1. Basic Fruit Salad

Ingredients:

  • 2 bananas
  • 3 kiwis
  • 3 oranges
  • 1 apple
  • 1/3 cup coconut
  • 1/4 cup raisins

Directions:

  1. Juice two of the oranges. Peel and cut the third orange in sections. Add the juice and orange sections to a bowl.
  2. Cut up the apple and kiwis and add to the bowl. Slice the banana last so that it does not turn brown.
  3. Mix all the fruit together and add in the coconut and raisins. Add 1/4 cup water to this winter fruit salad to make enough liquid.

2. Winter Fruit Salad With Grapefruit

Ingredients:

  • 3 grapefruits, peeled and sectioned
  • 2 bananas, sliced
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

Directions:

  1. Add the freshly squeezed orange juice to the sugar and mix until dissolved. Add in the cranberries, bananas and grapefruit sections.
  2. Place this very easy winter fruit salad in the refrigerator to chill. Serve this fruit salad at breakfast or brunch.

3. Pineapple Winter Fruit Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 small pineapple, peeled and chopped
  • 1 pomegranate, peeled and seeded
  • 2 grapefruits, sectioned
  • 2 tangerines, sectioned
  • 2 star fruit, chopped
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped

Directions:

  1. Put all the fruit in a bowl and mix. Place this winter fruit salad in the refrigerator to chill.
  2. Serve on single dessert plates to friends and family. Add some chopped pecans as a garnish.

4. Mango Winter Fruit Salad

Ingredients:

  • 3 mangos, sliced
  • 2 bananas, sliced
  • 1 pomegranate, seeded
  • 4 blood oranges, juiced
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Directions:

  1. Place the mangos, bananas, pomegranate and juice of the blood oranges in a mixing bowl. Place the winter fruit salad in the refrigerator to chill.
  2. When ready to serve this very simple fruit salad, garnish with the walnuts. Serve this fruit salad with lady fingers.

5. Kiwi and Mini-Marshmallow Winter Fruit Salad

Ingredients:

  • 2 kiwis, sliced
  • 2 bananas, sliced
  • 1/2 small pineapple, peeled and chopped
  • 1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/2 cup mini marshmallows

Directions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl put the kiwis, bananas, pineapple chunks, mandarin orange sections and the orange juice. Place in the refrigerator to chill.
  2. When ready to serve add in the mini-marshmallows. Serve this winter fruit salad in small dessert dishes.
