Acai Berry Scams
Is there truth to the acai berry scams controversy? Many people claim to be conned out of their money from the acai berry scam. In order to give some enlightenment whether acai berry is just merely a fad diet or a scam, the following information will be helpful.
Weight loss craze. The acai berry gained fame as a popular weight loss ingredient from many diet supplements. Manufacturers of these diet products claim that acai berries can help reduce weight, improve sleep and give you younger-looking skin and higher energy levels.
Stardom of acai berry soared. Acai berries became popular after the exotic fruit was featured in "The Oprah Winfrey Show" as one of the good food sources to include in a diet. Acai berry was featured as a good source of antioxidants, dietary fiber, monosaturated fats and amino acid complex. Many vendors of dietary supplements with acai berry as their main ingredients took advantage of this soaring stardom of acai berries and launched deceptive campaigns about the wonders of acai berry as an ultimate weight loss supplement allegedly endorsed by Oprah. However, Oprah did not endorse acai berry as a weight loss supplement but only as a good food source in our daily diet.
Inconclusive study. Until this time, no conclusive evidence from various studies confirmed that acai berries can promote weight loss. Most manufacturers of acai berry weight loss supplements use false testimonies to give the impression that there are weight loss benefits from the fruit in addition to good nutrients.
The pyramid scheme. This is one form of the acai berry scam where people pay the program in order to sell acai berry products such as pills and juice. You are required to recruit other people to sign up and sell the products in order to get your own commission from referrals. The pyramid scheme, however, is designed only for the top level positions from the pyramid to earn more.
Trial program. Some vendors of acai berry products offer free samples. You are to pay only a minimal amount for shipping and if you do not like the free sample, you do not get to pay for anything. However, when signing up for the free sample you are actually signing up for the trial program where more acai berry pills will be delivered to you that will be billed against your credit card.
Slick marketing tricks. Many people were misled by some tricky marketing schemes used in acai berry scams. It is always best to conduct your own research about the health benefits of the acai berry before instantly believing marketing advertisements that promote acai berry products as weight loss supplements.
Be selective of the acai berry products you buy. Acai berries do have health benefits, especially toward the cardiovascular system and healthy digestive system. When you buy this product make sure it is for a good reason and from reliable vendors who are not likely to scam you out of your money.
