Advanced WWE Takedowns

Advanced WWE takedowns were made popular by many prominent professional wrestlers, including Triple, Jerry Lawler, Harry Smith and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Each of these wrestlers had an advanced signature takedown move that would debilitate their opponents and help them win wrestling matches. These moves can be dangerous when performed incorrectly, so executing them is best left up to the professionals at WWE.

  1. The Pedigree. This is an advanced WWE takedown used by the wrestler Triple H. To perform The Pedigree, you first need to kick or punch your opponent in the gut. Once he keels over, lock his head between your legs, lift him up and slam his body against the mat stomach first.  
  2. Piledriver. The Piledriver is a wrestling takedown made famous by Jerry Lawler. This can be a very dangerous advanced WWE takedown is not performed correctly. Basically, you flip your opponent upside down and hold his body length-wise against yours. Then, slam him down onto the mat.
  3. Powerslam. Different version of the Powerslam have been done by WWE wrestler Harry Smith. This includes the classic Running Powerslam and the Running Over-the-Shoulder Powerslam, which involves running at your opponent and then flipping him over your shoulders. He then slams down onto the mat.
  4. Stunner. The Stunner wrestling takedown move was made most famous by the WWE wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin. To pull off this advanced takedown move, you must first kick your opponent in the stomach. Then, turn around quickly and grab him by the neck. Before he has a chance to recover, drop to the mat with your opponent and slam him down.
