  1. 23.5 points per game during the 1996 to 1997 season. This former Georgetown Hoya was an immediate scoring machine for Philadelphia. Because of his strong rookie stats, Allen Iverson snagged the Rookie of the Year Award and justified his status as first overall pick of the draft. He bested talented players like Ray Allen, Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant for the award.

  2. Career average of 6.2 assists. Although he was known as a scoring sensation, Allen Iverson could also help his teammates score. Thoughout his sterling career, Allen Iverson earned for himself a respectable assist average. His shoot first and pass second attitude was criticized by hoops fans though.

  3. Career average of 2.2 steals. Allen Iverson was speed personified. He was fast and shifty. Not only did he use his quickness on offense, he also did it on defense. He racked up a solid average of 2.2 steals a game during his 14 seasons in the NBA.

  4. Career high of 60 points in a single game. There are many great scorers in the NBA. Very few however can literally take over a game and score in bunches. Against the Orlando Magic in February 12, 2005, Allen Iverson racked up a total of 60 points.

  5. Career average of 0.2 blocks. You can't teach height. Even though he was incredibly talented, Allen Iverson only measured 6 feet in height. As a result, he was not too impressive swatting away shots from the opposition. However, he did have 3 blocks in a game against Chicago in 1998.

  6. Career average of 3.7 rebounds. Not only was Allen Iverson small, he also had a lean frame. To snag rebounds, “The Answer” relied on his patented speed and quickness. Against larger foes though, he could only do so much.

  7. Career average of 0.780 in free throw percentage. Although Allen Iverson had a solid jump shot, he loved to slice though the opposing team to earn his points. Because of his constant forays into the shaded lane, he was accumulated a good number of fouls against him. A good chunk of his offensive output came from free throws. From the 15 foot line, Iverson had a decent enough shot.

  8. Career average of 14.4 points in All-Star Games. Allen Iverson was a perennial NBA All-Star. He played with the likes of Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, and Michael Jordan. Among the NBA greats, he stamped his class as an elite scorer.

  9. 33.0 points per game during the 2005 to 2006 season. During the NBA 2005 to 2006 season, Iverson led Philadelphia with an amazing 33.0 points per game average. He was deadly from the three point zone with a 0.447 shooting average. He also had solid 7.4 assists per game that same season.

  10. 12.3 points per game during the 2009 to 2010 season. Iverson last played with the Memphis Grizzlies. He was traded from Philadelphia that same season. Due to age and several injuries that eventually slowed him down, his scoring average took a big hit.
