Middle of Florida Average Temperatures. The middle portion of Florida contains the following major cities: Orlando, Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg. The average January temperature for the mid-section of Florida is 62 degrees Fahrenheit. In the summer months of the middle of Florida, average temperature is 83 degrees. The highs can reach 90 or higher and 75 is the average low temperature.
Southern Florida Average Temperatures. Major cities in south Florida are Miami, Palm Beach, Naples, and Fort Lauderdale. The average temperature in south Florida in January is 67 degrees Fahrenheit. This is an average, which means the high can sometimes reach 86 and the average low can be as low as 28 or 30 degrees Fahrenheit. The average temperature in south Florida in the summer months is 82 degrees Fahrenheit. This number takes into account the high reaching the upper 90s and the low around 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
