Best Beers

The best beers are beers that are rich, complex, flattering in appearance, and have an interesting history. Good beers usually have a slightly heavy mouth feel and are not flat, yet are not abnormally carbonated. The best beers have some visible carbonation and a nice head. Beer aficionados appreciate beers that are made with the finest ingredients and are complex in taste. Beers that are not completely dominated by one taste, but by several tastes or notes, are considered as high quality. Here are some of the best beers you will find in a brewery or on the shelves in a liquor store.

  1. Left Hand Milk Stout. This beer is brewed at the Left Hand Brewing company in Colorado. This stout is very dark, almost black, and is brewed with lactose to increase flavor. Left Hand Milk Stout has a roasted malt flavor with hints of coffee and chocolate.
  2. Kasteel Rouge. This beer tastes so great that even non-beer drinkers are known to like it. For this reason, Kasteel Rouge is one of the best beers. This beer is brewed in Belgium at Castle Brewery with sour cherries. This is not some random mild fruity beer, however, it packs an eight percent ABV.
  3. Young's Double Chocolate Stout. This beer is brewed in England by Wells & Young Ltd. This is noted as one of the best beers because of its uniqueness. Young's Double Chocolate Stout is brewed with real dark chocolate, making it a dessert in a bottle.
  4. Arrogant Bastard Ale. Definitely one of the best beers. Brewed at the Stone Brewing Company in California, this bold-tasting beer has an ego. The taste has a nice balance with hints of grapefruit, a dash of caramel, and a healthy dose of bitterness.
  5. New Belgium Mothership Wit. Do you like the way Christmas trees smell? Well, that will give you an idea on how Mothership Wit tastes. The piney taste is owed to this organic beer being brewed with coriander and orange peel. Mothership wit is brewed in Colorado by New Belgium Brewing.
  6. Samuel Adams Utopias. You will need a designated driver only after one bottle of Samuel Adams Utopias. This brew boasts a 27% ABV and is stored in a brownish golden bottle, making it one of the best beers around. The taste is very complex as you get hints of rum, caramel, maple syrup, cognac, vanilla, scotch, and even fruits. Utopias is brewed at the Boston Beer Company in Massachusetts.
