Shahrukh khan, also known as the "King khan" of Bollywood has been the leading man in more than 60 movies in a career spanning more than two decades. Shahrukh Khan's best films are undoubtedly amongst the best Indian movies to date. He has a tremendous fan base both in India and beyond, more so than the Tom Cruises and Brad Pitts of the world! His movies have raked in millions of rupees at the box office and have won him 25 Best Actor awards…so far.

Some of Shahrukh Khan's best films are:

1. Bumper hit – “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (DDLJ, as it is popularly called) is undoubtedly is on top of his all-time best films. This romantic drama starring himself and Kajol opened in the early '90s and is still running in Mumbai, making it the longest running Indian film ever.

2. Shades of Gray – "Anjaam": This was his best film where he portrayed a negative character, opposite the legendary Madhuri Dixit. Anjaam was one among a flurry of films ("Darr," "Deewana," "Baazigar," etc.) where his shades were gray. He was accepted unanimously nonetheless.

3. Arthouse specials – “Swades”: Shahrukh Khan ventured into the unknown for a while experimenting with some interesting concept films. It started with his first film,“Maya Memsaab” where he played the young lover of an older married woman. This phase continued on with critically acclaimed films like “Asoka,” “Swades,” “Chak De India" (about the Indian Hockey team), and “My Name is Khan,” about the fate of moderate Muslims in post 9/11 US.

4. Golden boy of Romance – “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai”: It was the best film of the late '90s; Khan came back to the romance genre and made women swoon all over the world. He followed his lover boy image with many more movies like “Kal Ho Na Ho,” “Veer-Zaara,” “Devdas,” “Chalte Chalte” and “Mohabbatein.”

5. The Ultimate entertainer – “Main Hoo Na”: This is Shahrukh Khan’s best film in the comic genre. He plays the ultimate geek to a tee with excellent comic timing. He made us laugh with his witty improvisations and body language in other similar movies. “Om Shanti Om,”“Yes Boss” are just too funny to pass up.
