Looking for the best running paths in the Woodlands, Texas? You may be surprised to know that there are many avid runners in Texas. If you ever find yourself in Texas, here are some of the best running trails in the Woodlands area. The following Texas trails are a variety of lengths and inclines.

  1. The Woodlands Trail. This Texas trail is 5.4 total miles. This running path is for advanced runners and those used to trail running. You can run here any time, fall through spring. Be on the lookout for black bears, as they are being reintroduced into the Kountze area. There is an elevation gain of 270 feet, and the loop is generally hilly.  Start at Big Thicket National Preserve.
  2. The Middle Lake Trail. This best Woodlands, Texas, running trail is a short loop through the W. Goodrich Jones State Forest.
