When going on a date with someone you do not know, it is important to follow blind date tips because the world is not the same place it once was. These blind date tips are essential to follow to help keep you safe incase the person you are meeting turns out to be a threat. While it is important to have fun on a blind date, it is equally as important to stay safe.

  1. Some of the most important blind date tips include having a backup plan. Backup plans include having your own way to and from the date and a safety net incase something unexpected should occur while on the date. Provide your own transportation to and from the date because you never want to rely on a stranger for transportation. Too many unexpected and dangerous things can occur if you rely on someone else, so play it safe and either drive yourself or call a taxi cab. Also, you should have a safety net in place. This safety net includes having the blind date in a public place where other people are always around. Your blind date is less likely to cause a threat to you if there are other people around.
  2. When going on a blind date, always let a couple of people know your plan. Prior to leaving your house, write a note about where you are going, when you expect to be home and who you will be out with, then post the note in an obvious place. Incase something should happen, people will know where to begin looking for you and who you were last with. Give this information to at least two other people and have them contact you when you were expected to arrive home to ensure you made it there safely. If no one is able to get a hold of you after you were expected to arrive home, it alerts someone instantly that something may have happened.
  3. Blind date tips also include not going on the date alone. Suggest a double date to your blind date. This way you can have a buddy go along with you. By having a buddy with you and more people around, safety is less likely to be an issue.

Most people shrug blind date tips off because they feel nothing will go wrong; however, this is not the case. Always prepare for the unexpected because you would rather be safe than sorry. While chances are nothing bad will happen on the date other than a clash of personalities, it is important to take the necessary safety tips to ensure your have a safe blind dating experience.
