Brett Favre Scandal

The Brett Favre scandal involved NFL quarterback Brett Favre and Jenn Sterger, a model and television personality. The details of eh scandal were revealed to the public in 2010 with the release of voicemail messages and highly explicit photographs. It certainly captivated audiences  as everyone was left guessing how this scandal would affect Brett Favre and his career.

Connection to Jenn Sterger. Brett Favre’s connection to Ms. Sterger is basically that she works as a sideline reporter and frequently reports on NFL games. Brett Favre allegedly met Ms. Sterger through her work as a reporter.

Voicemail messages. Allegedly, the NFL star, Brett Favre, called and left two voicemail messages for Mr. Sterger. These messages were clumsy, at best, and basically were inviting Ms. Sterger to come to his hotel room. The implications were sexual in nature, although no proposition was made outright at this point.

Explicit Photographs. While the voicemail messages were not explicit in themselves, the photos that came out during the Brett Favre scandal certainly were. They were a series of photographs of a penis sent via cell phone to Ms. Sterger.

Story Leaked. Contrary to what one might assume, Jenn Sterger did not leak the voicemail messages and photographs herself. Allegedly, they were leaked to the media by a third party. Apparently, there is no definitive connection between the quarterback and the actual person who informed the media of the scandal.

Legitimacy. While it seems likely that the voice in the messages is in fact Brett Favre, there has not been any definitive proof. Additionally, the explicit photographs don’t contain much more than a penis. There is no face or other way of recognizing that it belongs to Brett Favre. He has made no comment.
