So if you're a fan of performance automobile racing, knowing what would happen in a match with the Bugatti Veyron vs BMW and its line of technological wonders might be of interest to you. Heck, it's interesting to us: both the BMW M line and Bugatti Veyron stack impressive statistics. When you break down the Bugatti Veyron vs BMW and its babies, it's hard to take sides with one of these perfect cars.

Let's start with an intro to the Bugatti Veyron 16.4. This $1.6 million vehicle is a legend among auto enthusiasts. Produced in France with the top of the line racing technology, the Bugatti Veyron vs BMW and its M series won't be too difficult. When the SS Ultimate Aero took the lead spot as the world's fastest production vehicle in October of 2007, it was recently dethroned and replaced by the Veyron again (according to Guinness World Records on June 26, 2010). Racing at a top speed of 267.81 mph, no production car in the world is faster than the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport.

It doesn't stop there, the Veyron's a beast on wheels. Literally: its standard model can push out 1,001 brake horsepower while the Super Sport can trump that at 1,184 bhp. Yet, not only is it the fastest street legal car around, it also is the quickest accelerating vehicle on the market. In two and a half seconds, you can see the Bugatti Veyron book it from 0 to 100 km/hr. Things don't look very good for Germany when the showdown of Veyron vs BMW comes around.

Now, while this might be impressive, BMW isn't out for the count. The BMW M-line is the fastest and best performing series of automobiles owned by the German automotive company. However, can they stack up in a Bugatti Veyron vs BMW competition? Granted, the panic of going up against the fastest car ever made in a Veyron vs BMW competition won't help the German's morale, but maybe the "Beamers" can put up a good fight.

The BMW M series has five current models. Those are the M3, M5, M6, X5 M and X6 M, ranked according to how common they are (respectively from most to least). The X5 M and X6 M, while notable, are much too big of vehicles for this competition, and cannot sprint from 0-60 mph in anything under four seconds. The same goes for the M3 and M5, both common and powerful vehicles, but incomparable in a test of the Veyron vs BMW. The M6, however, can run around a 3.6 0-60 dash, pumping out 500 hp from its rather large 5.0 liter V10.

Even though the 2010 M6 was able to pump out more power than you could ever dream of, it is still more than doubled in a competition of Veyron vs BMW. No one can trump the Bugatti Veyron yet, not even the famous BMW and all of its best concept engineers. The competition of the Bugatti Veyron vs BMW was fierce, but in the end, the French auto-maker delivered a knock-out blow (obviously, with over a thousand bhp behind it). That's not to say the Germans were humiliated in Veyron vs BMW, they put up an excellent fight, but as for now, the Bugatti remains the king of sports cars.
