The third and final material is wood, which can be light and sturdy or heavy and sturdy.  
2. The second step to buying a canoe is to figure out how long your want your canoe. If you plan of taking your family canoeing or friends you will want to get a longer canoe. If you plan on going canoeing by yourself then you are going to want a shorter canoe.
