Causes Of Herpes

The causes of herpes are more varied than you'd think. Herpes simplex, more commonly known just as "Herpes", is a virus most commonly associated with STDs. Yet, Herpes is not as simple as the term STD would have it be. The causes of herpes are much more vast in number than mere sexual contact.

Herpes is spread virally. The primary causes of Herpes are cough-transmission, sexual contact, and blood transfer. Indeed, unlike what many anti-Sex Ed. proponents may ignore, Herpes can be transmitted merely through coughing sufficiently from the transmitter.

Medication can cause Herpes to develop. CellCept, Accutane, and Claravis (according to WrongDiagnosis) are just some of the medicine that can transfer Herpes to a new agent for the virus. Interestingly enough, no one really imagines medication to be one of the causes of Herpes, but it does happen.

Sexual contact exacerbates chances. Obviously, an STD such as Herpes is more likely to be caught by people who are having fluid exchange with possible infected people. It is no cause for (serious) alarm, however, as one of the causes of Herpes for you if tests have proven you and your partner are cleared. Once infected, the virus is in the body for life. So avoid the causes of Herpes to increase chances of not catching this awful STD.

There are different strains of Herpes. Herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) and Herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) are the root causes of Herpes. HSV-1 generally instigates causes of Herpes in areas such as throat, face, mouth, eye, and central nervous system. Type 2 usually is anogenital in nature. Although these are rules of thumb they are not concrete in nature; both types can cause infections all over the body.

Comorbidities do happen sometimes. Bipolar disorder, Alzheimer's disease, Bell's palsy, and a few other comorbidities are related to Herpes infections. Although the actual source of these associations is to be investigated, they should still be noted.

The causes of Herpes may often astound some who aren't familiar with STIs and their nature. Sexual contact is not a prerequisite to "catch" an STI. Always consult your physician with any questions regarding Herpes. The above article on causes of Herpes is purely informative in nature, and any questions on content should be verified with a licensed medical professional.
