Causes Of Painful Intercourse
Many woman wonder what the causes of painful intercourse are. This is something that is very common, although women may be ashamed. There is no need to be ashamed because this is something that happens more frequently than you think and there is a way to correct it, once you find out the cause. There could be numerous reasons for the pain but listed below are the more common causes.
- Vaginal Dryness. It is possible that you are not producing enough natural lubrication to make penetration more enjoyable. You can resolve this by purchasing a lubricant from a drug store. Make sure you have no allergic reaction to the ingredients, because you do not want to cause an infection in that area.

Vaginal Infection. There are different infections that you may not be aware of, that can cause discomfort. An example of that could be a yeast infection. Penetration can cause great irritation while having a yeast infection and can make things painful during intercourse. Visit your Gynecologist to get a pap smear, this will let you know if you have any infections.
- Vaginal Tightness. This is something that you may be causing unknowingly. Some woman tend to tense you during intercourse, especially if it is your first time. Try to relax and take a deep breath, this will loosen your body up a bit more. If you not mentally focused on having intercourse at the time then your body will not respond the way it needs to.
