If you have recently been prescribed to Celebrex, there are many things to consider about Celebrex side effects before choosing this as your main option. Not all Celebrex side effects make an impact on someone's life, but you have to consider that you could experience these Celebrex side effects.

The generic name for Celebrex is celecoxib. Celebrex is most commonly used for those who may have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis. Other uses for Celebrex are for menstrual pains, hereditary polyps in the colon, and ankylosing spondilitis. Celebrex is composed of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug which tends to manage the hormones so that it controls inflammation and pain.

  1. While some of the Celebrex side effects are not very intense, others may be more bothersome to individuals besides the pain relief and anti-inflammatory properties of this prescription drug. Some of the most common Celebrex side effects are constipation, diarrhea, dizziness, gas, headache, heartburn, nausea, sore throat, upset stomach, and at some times a stuffy nose. These are the most common Celebrex side effects which are considered to be the not as serious group.

Celebrex side effects that should be treated immediately include: rash; hives; itching; trouble breathing; tightness in chest; swelling of any body parts on your face; bloody or black stools; change in the amount of urine produced; chest pain; confusion; dark urine; depression; fainting; fast or irregular heartbeat; fever; chills; persistent sore throat.

The following are also considered to be very serious symptoms: hearing loss; mood swings; numbness of arm or leg; red or peeling skin; one-sided weakness; ringing in the ears; seizures; severe headache or dizziness; severe or persistent stomach pain or nausea; severe vomiting; sudden weight gain; unusual bruising or bleeding; unusual joint or muscles pain; unusual tiredness or weakness; vision or speech changes; vomit that looks like coffee grounds; yellowing of the skin or eyes.

If you are prescribed to Celebrex, make sure you keep in mind the Celebrex side effects and how they can affect you. Not everyone may experience these Celebrex side effects; however, others may experience some of the severe Celebrex side effects.
