Check Southwest Airlines Flight Status

Knowing how to check your Southwest Airlines flight status is extremely important when traveling. The flight status will let you know just that—the status of your flight be it late, on time or cancelled indefinately. Not only will knowing your Southwest Airlines flight status be useful to you, but it will also be useful to those that are either waiting to pick you up from the airport or just worried about you.

To check your Southwest Airlines flight status, you will need one of the following:

• Access to a computer and the internet
• A phone

1. Using the internet. The internet is the easiest way to check your Southwest Airlines flight status, minus physically being at the airport. To check your Southwest Airlines flight status, log on to the Southwest Airlines website. There will be an option to check your flight status. From here, you will need to enter your departure, arrival information and day of your flight. This will bring up a list of all available flights that day that fit the searched criteria. Simply find your flight to see the status.
2. Using a phone. There are two different ways to check your Southwest Airlines flight status by phone. The first is by simply calling the Southwest automated flight information number (1-800-435-9792). The other way to check your flight status by phone is to download the mobile app available on the Southwest Airlines website. This will give you up to date information on any flight you need.
3. In person. For those already at the airport, the easiest way to check your flight status would be to look at one of the many flight status boards around the airport. These monitors are constantly updating and are pretty much everywhere.
