Chris Brown Biography

Chris Brown biography is popular among different age groups. This young man went from being Christopher Maurice Brown who had a love for music since he could walk and talk to Chris Brown the singer by the time he was thirteen. Chris is the youngest child in the family born May 5, 1989 to Joyce Hawkins and Clinton Brown. At a young age his mother recognized his talent and so she assisted him in getting his music career started.

Getting a music career started is difficult enough, but when you live in a small town in Virginia like Chris did the odds of being found are even more unlikely. But at the age of thirteen Chris was discovered by a local production crew while singing and dancing inside his father's gas station. After being discovered by this crew, Chris moved to New York where he was discovered and signed by Jive Records. 

With Jive Records having such great past success with young performers, Chris Brown's music career took off and he was able to become the first male artist since 1995 to have his single reach the Summit Billboard Hot 100. Chris may have started out as just a singer and dancer but his performances have allowed him to become a songwriter himself and and actor. Even with all of this success and fame, Chris's family past of domestic violence that he witnessed growing up eventually began to appear in his own behavior. Chris disrupted his own career by displaying acts of violence towards his girlfriend causing her facial damage which resulted in him being arrested and put on probation. 

As Chris is trying to deal with his anger issues, he has spoken out about the fact that violence is not the way to handle any situation and has apologized for his behavior. Chris is still loved by his many fans and though he lost several contracts as a result of the arrest for domestic violence, he has continued to move on with his career.
