Chris Brown Quotes

Looking for some Chris Brown quotes? Chris Brown, known for his 2010 hit "Deuces", became a hip-hop heartthrob at the tender age of sixteen. His albums enjoyed considerable success, along with various hits such as "Run It" and "Yo (Excuse Me Miss)."

  1. "I didn't understand that I could sing until I was like 11 or 12. My mom heard me singing around the house and she said, 'What are you doing? You can really sing!' So then I started going to school and singing to the girls." It's not hard to admit that Chris Brown has an original singing voice and an appealing one at that. With this statement, it's also easy to see that Chris was definitely a ladies man and serenaded them with his singing voice.
  2. "I think I can beat Usher on the dance floor." In an interview, Chris admitted that he didn't like being compared to Usher, although it was flattering considering Usher was a major influence of his, but he went on to say that he wanted to be his own person, his own artist. It's only natural that he implies a possible dance-off to prove that he has a different style.
  3. "I'm 18 in this album. I'm not losing fans, and I'm not disrespecting women, but you reach the maturity of taking it to the next level with a girl. It was only necessary for me to have at least one song like that." This particular statement was in response to his album, "Exclusive" where he featured a more explicit style song compared to his innocent debut album, "Chris Brown." His lyrics were certainly more daring, but he was acknowledging that he had matured and was no longer the "boy-next-door.
  4. "My mother taught me to treat a lady respectfully." After the incident involving Rihanna where Chris Brown was accused of beating her until she was nearly unrecognizable, this quote seems rather empty and lifeless. However, before the incident, Chris Brown was seen as an innocent young boy, the epitome of a young gentlemen, with his romantic puppy-love lyrics. He was obviously feeding into that image.
