Cities In Tennessee

There are many fun cities in Tennessee that makes great vacation spots.  Whatever you enjoy doing, there is a city in Tennessee that will fulfill your wish.  There are cities in Tennessee that are completely urban areas, there are many cities that are filled with natural beauty and natural attractions and there are even areas that cater to museums and music. 

  1. Knoxville:   Knoxville is home to many museums, historic homes, Knoxville zoo, the Women’s Basketball Hall of fame, Electric Market Square and the Neyland Stadium.  It is known for having a lot of the diverse mix that you would find in a big city, yet it still has its own small town charm and hospitality.
  2. Gatlinburg:  Gatlinburg is one of the most popular cities in Tennessee for vacationing.  It is home of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which offers its visitors 600 miles of hiking trails, fishing in hundreds of miles of streams and lots of beautiful scenery.  Yet, if the outdoors isn’t your idea of fun, Gatlinburg also offers museums, craft fairs, and many restaurants for you to enjoy.
  3. Nashville:  If you are a country music fan, no trip to Tennessee would be complete without visiting one of the most popular cities in Tennessee, Nashville.  Nashville is known as the country music center of the world.  It is said that this is where music hangs it hat and puts it feet up on the furniture.   Nashville is also known as Music City.  It is home of the Grand O’le Opry and many other legendary places.  However, it is also a place that has great cuisine, a pro sports center and Southern Charm.
  4. Memphis:  When visiting cities in Tennessee, no trip is complete without visiting Memphis, the birthplace of the King of Rock, Elvis Presley and his home, Graceland.  Graceland is the second most visited home in the United States.  Memphis is also the birth place of the blues and the home of many museums and annually festivals.

Yes, there are many cities in Tennessee worth stopping in and visiting if you ever have the chance to visit this great state.  This is why many say this is their favorite vacation designation choice.
