Clogged Ear Remedies
Clogged ear remedies usually work on everyone they just have to find the correct remedy for themselves. Anyone who has a clogged ear wants to feel immediate relief from the discomfort and often pain that is felt because of the clogged ear. Here are several remedies and items that are often used to clear a clogged ear.
You will need the following:
- Antihistamine
- Hydrogen peroxide
- Olive oil
- Ear buds
- Hot water
- Wash cloth
- Warm compress
- Bulb syringe
- Turkey baster
- The first step is to find out what is clogging your ear and if it is determined, that earwax is the culprit there are several remedies to alleviate the problem. You can first try hydrogen peroxide by putting a few drops into your ear this will loosen the wax. As the bubbles begin to form in your ear just tilt your head back and you will notice the earwax coming out with the bubbles. Another way to remove the earwax is to boil some olive oil once it has cooled put a few drops in your ear. Now this will soften the earwax allowing you to take an ear bud and clean the loose wax from your ear.
- If you are looking for an easier way to remove excessive ear wax place a wash cloth in hot water fold it several times and place the now warm compress over the clogged ear for a few minutes. Another method people try that has been successful is to put a few drop of warm water into your ear and take a bulb syringe or turkey baster and suck the wax out. Some people prefer to use the turkey baster because they do not have to worry about putting the tube in too far into their ear damaging anything.
- Try the other remedies first but if nothing else works for your clogged ear try an antihistamine. You can purchase the antihistamine over the counter from any drug store. Remember the other remedies will give you immediate relief where as the antihistamine will take a while to clear up the symptoms.
Relieving a clogged ear is not difficult to do it just requires patience. Knowing how your ear became clogged in the first place will help you to avoid a reoccurrence.
