Cricket bowling game technique will help you become a better cricket player. Bowling is a very important aspect of the game, and you need to be able to bowl the cricket ball with just the right amount of force, speed and accuracy. With a just a few simple techniques, you’ll be able to greatly improve your cricket bowling game.

  1. Hold the ball the right way. The way you should be holding the cricket ball is a little counterintuitive. Rather than grasping it firmly in your fist, you should be holding it loosely amongst your fingers. Your middle and index finger should be on one side, with your thumb and pointer finger on the other.
  2. Add to your run up. The run up is the area you use to gain momentum and force before bowling the cricket ball. Adding just a foot or so can help you gain even more momentum and get more speed when you bowl.
  3. Work on accuracy. When you increase your run up and add to your speed, you might be taking away from your accuracy. This means you need to make an effort to improve it. You can basically accomplish this with target practice. Set up a practice target at the end of the run up and keep throwing until you find a form that works for you.
  4. Keep everything in a row. When you run up, you should be doing so in a straight line. This will also help add to the accuracy of your cricket bowling game. To keep yourself aligned during the run up, add a few small posts on each side of the run up. As long as you stay within the posts, you know you’re moving straight.
  5. Watch your release and follow through. The release should be a concentrated, focused action. However, once you bowl the cricket ball, all that momentum you built up will have to go somewhere. This is the time when you can let your body flail – after the release, never before.
