Learn about crystal healing power, an alternative method of helping to relieve a number of symptoms from a wide variety of conditions and diseases. Crystal healing power is considered to work through the chakras of the body which are seven physical locations on the body. These chakras are believed to correspond to an area on the body and cure symptoms in the associated location.

Chakras

The seven chakras are located throughout the body from the head to the tailbone, along the center of the body. They are located in the top of the head, brow, throat, heart, solar plexus, sacrum and tailbone. Each has a different color, known as its aura. Together, they control the ebb and flow of energy within the body.

Crystals

The aura of the tailbone is red and works with red jasper, rubies and flame agate. The sacrum has an orange aura and uses opal, fire agate and rose quartz. The yellow aura belongs to the solar plexus with crystal healing powers shown through jasper, amber and others. Emerald, plume agate and jade correspond with the heart, which has a green aura. The throat chakra carries a blue aura and responds to pearl and turquoise. The brow's aura is deep blue in color and requires gems such as sapphire, azurite and others to exhibit its crystal healing power. The top of the head possesses a rich purple aura which responds to moldavite, among others.

Healing

To heal or relieve health conditions in certain parts of the body, the appropriate corresponding crystal must be used. The crystal is placed on the proper chakra point and kept there for differing lengths of time. It is often recommended that you keep the crystal on you at all times for the first week or so of use. Length of use from this point forward should be based on your own personal feelings and comfort levels. Crystals have a long and rich history of use in many different cultures, including some Native American tribes who used the crystal healing power in religious practice.
