Delete Myspace Account

To delete your MySpace account, you will need:

• A computer with internet access
• A MySpace account

1. Start by logging onto the website and logging in. The login box is located on the right-hand side of the page. You can choose to login or connect with Facebook. Click “Login” and type your username and password information in the two boxes.
2. Click the tab at the top that reads, “My Stuff” and select “Account Settings” from the drop-down menu. You’ll be taken to a page that allows you to change all sorts of things about your account.
3. Look in the left-hand pane for “Cancel Account.” This option will allow you to cancel your account. Don’t worry, selecting it will not automatically delete your MySpace account. You’ll be taken to another page with other options.
4. Select “Cancel Account” on the new page. It is a large button. You’ll be asked a question about the termination of your account. Answer the question and select the blue “Cancel account” button.
5. A pop-up box may appear. You can either select “Keep my account” or “Cancel account.” Select “Cancel account.”
6. Type any necessary comments. You aren’t required to provide any comments, but if you want to, you can. Once again, press “Cancel Account.”
7. Check the email inbox that you used to sign up for MySpace. There should be an email waiting from MySpace concerning the cancellation of your MySpace account. You will need to click on the link to verify the cancellation and this will open a new internet browser.
8. Type your email address into the box on the page that opens. Select “Cancel account” one last time and the process will be complete. Your MySpace account should be removed anywhere from immediately to 48 hours.
