Visitors and residents never lack for something to do in the Mile High City, but for when you can't decide, there are always these Denver attractions that offer something for everyone. Unless you're traveling solo, deciding what to do can often result in a lot of hair pulling and compromise, especially when its with family. Luckily, when deciding what to see, Denver has a wide range of attractions that cater to people of all stripes and ages.

  1. Elitch Gardens Theme Park: Located in the heart of downtown Denver, this theme park is over 28 acres, featuring 6 full size roller coasters, and a variety of over 21 other styles of rides. With kiddie rides like the Cactus Coaster to entertain little Susie, while thrill-seekers lose their lunch on the Boomerang. Daily shows, free concerts, and an adjoining water park make this a place for tourists and Denver natives alike to visit. Elitch Gardens Theme Park: 2000 Elitch Circle, Denver, CO 80204
  2. Coors Field: Also located downtown is the home of the Colorado Rockies, this is one of the most scenic baseball fields in the country, and can be toured even in the off season. Spectators sitting in the first base and right field sections get the added attraction of a spectacular view of the Rocky Mountains in addition to the game, and anyone in a purple seat knows they're at exactly a mile high elevation. If you're a fan of games that are more slugfests than about pitching that thinner air is also for you, as it allows pitchers fewer effective pitches to work with, leading to fewer strike-outs. And reasonable beer prices don't hurt either. Coors Field: 2001 Blake St # A, Denver, CO 80205
  3. Denver Zoo: The first zoo in the country to build lifelike habitats for it's animal attractions, the Denver Zoo has a long history of innovation. It features live animal shows, volunteers scattered throughout to offer information and answer questions, and if you're there at feeding time, an opportunity to feed the giraffes, among others. Denver Zoo: 2300 Steele Street, Denver, CO 80205-4899
  4. 16th St. Mall: This pedestrian mall offers attractions for any visitor to Denver. This promenade frequently offers live events, food stands, and street performers, in addition to the plethora of restaurants, shops, bars, and clubs. As a center for city nightlife, this is the place to go to check out a trendy bar, Irish pub, or take in a burlesque magic show. The free shuttle service that runs the length of the mall will save your feet if you choose to explore the entire expanse. 16th Street Mall: 16th Street Denver, CO 80202
  5. Downtown Aquarium, Denver: This venue offers more attractions than your typical aquarium. In addition to the over 1 million gallons worth of aquatic life on display, there are land mammals such as a Sumerian tiger, and otters. There is also a touch tank where visitors can pet and feed stingrays, and the Mystic Mermaids show, which features women in mermaid costumes who swim and dance underwater , sure to delight adults and children alike.
