Diets for men with high blood pressure can be simple and practical. Hypertension is such a common cardiovascular disease, that the American Heart Association states that about 1 in 3 people in the United States has high blood pressure. So what are the causes of high blood pressure?

Well, there are many factors that contribute to high blood pressure. By making simple changes to the diet and lifestyle is one sure way to lower high blood pressure. Below is a diet for men with high blood pressure.

  1. Having a family history of high blood pressure is one cause. So if your mom, dad or grandparents have a history of high blood pressure it is likely that you will as well.
  2. Combat high blood pressure by incorporating regular exercise, whether it is yoga, walking, running or skiing. Doing so can help not only combat stress, but also help with hypertension.
  3. High levels of stress are another factor that causes high blood pressure. Incorporating some sort of meditation and personal organization can help lower stress levels.
  4. Being deficient in a number of vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin D, calcium and magnesium can also affect blood pressure. Taking a multivitamin supplement can help give the essential vitamins and minerals the body needs to combat high blood pressure.
  5. A high sodium intake can also cause high blood pressure and hypertension. Limit intake of salt to the recommended daily intake. The American Heart Association recommends eating less than 1,500 mg of sodium per day.
  6. By following this simple yet effective diet for men with high blood pressure, blood pressure can greatly decrease. There will also be a number of changes that occur within the body. There will be a less bloating, energy levels will increase and the body will feel great mentally and physically.
