Diets That Work Fast
If you've got a special occasion coming up and are hoping that last year's suit still fits, you need to find diets that work fast to help with your dilemma. Diets that work fast do just that - they work fast but that doesn't mean that they work for long. So, don't pin your hopes on the fact that whatever diet gives you the fastest weight loss is the be all end all in your diet arsenal.
- Topping the list of diets that work fast is the Atkins diet. Simply shirk all carbohydrates, including bread, rice, or anything made with white flour, and you can easily drop 5 lbs in a week. As men lose weight much more quickly than women, you might be able to drop as much as 10 lbs in a week. Atkins will very quickly reshape your body too so your gut may be reduced by an inch or two, making it much easier to button those pants.
- Coming in at number two on the list of diets that work fast is the South Beach Diet. Similar to Atkins in that carbohydrates are the enemy, the South Beach diet is a bit less strict than Atkins. You'll be able to eat a few more carbs during the first two weeks but still no bread, or white flour. Instead, you will have a few items of fruit which have healthy carbs. The South Beach diet is similar in Atkins in that your body will reshape quickly. Choose the South Beach diet if you don't think that you can stick to the strickness of Atkins.
- Third on the list of diets that work quickly (at least at first....) is Weight Watchers. Weight Watchers plan assigns a pointsplus system number to all foods so nothing is off limits. During the first two weeks, you can expect to lose 10 pounds if you're a fairly active man. On the Weight Watchers system, carbs still factor in but not nearly as strongly as the Atkins or South Beach diet plans so you can have an occasional hamburger on a bun.
