Easy Recipe for Chicken Parmesan
Chicken Parmesan is the typical southern comfort food, and it's incredibly easy to make. It's so easy it might just replace your peanut butter and jelly sandwich as your go-to meal, just maybe. But for a quick hot meal, it can't be beat. Keep a few key ingredients on hand and you can have a tasty fresh meal just like mom used to make. It's so good you can serve this to your girlfriend, you'll impress her with your amazing kitchen-whizz skills.
What you need:
2 Boneless Chicken Breasts, split lengthwise so they are thin
2 tbsp. Butter
2 tbsp. Olive Oil
1/2 cup Seasoned Bread Crumbs, Italian Style
1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated
1/2 pound Mozzarella Cheese
2 cups Tomato Sauce
Salt and Pepper to taste
Tools: plate, oven safe skillet, tongs
Step 1: Turn the oven on to 350 degrees Farenheight. Combine the bread crumbs and parmesan cheese on a large plate.
Step 2: Put the butter and olive oil in the skillet over medium heat until the butter is melted.
Step 3: Season the chicken on both sides with salt and pepper to taste. Place the chicken on the plate with the bread crumb mixture and completely coat the breast. Then place it in the hot skillet, be careful as the oil may spatter and can burn.
Step 4: Cook the chicken for 4 to 5 minutes, until golden brown. Take the tongs and turn the chicken over for another 4 to 5 minutes.
Step 5: After all the chicken is cooked and in the skillet, turn off the heat. Either grate the mozzarella or slice it into half inch pieces. Lay it on top of the cooked chicken. Spoon 1/2 cup tomato sauce over the top.
Step 6: Place the skillet in the oven until the cheese is melted and the sauce begins to bubble, about ten minutes.
Now give yourself a pat on the back and enjoy your delicious masterpiece.
