No Enrique Iglesias biography is complete with mentioning his famous family. Enrique Iglesias, son of the legendary Julio Iglesias, and brother of Julio Iglesias Jr., Enrique has followed in his family’s footsteps. Iglesias is not only one of the bestselling Latin artists of all time, but he is also known as a fashion icon and successful crossover artist, songwriter and Broadway producer.

Enrique Iglesias topped the Hot Latin Tracks chart with 22 number one songs. Since Iglesias crossed over to English language songs, he has racked up five songs on the Billboard Top 100. Of his recent album “Euphoria” he says, "this record is my most diverse, my most exciting and the most surprising album I’ve made in my career.” Lionel Richie, a long-time friend, worked with Enrique Iglesias on this album, his first album with songs in both Spanish and English.

An accomplished songwriter, Iglesias wrote songs not only for his own albums. He also wrote the single “Un Nuovo Giorno” for Andrea Bocelli and a song for Clay Aiken. Iglesias even produced a Broadway show that featured classic and modern Latin songs, including some of his own.

Born in Madrid, Spain, Iglesias moved to Miami to live with his father when his grandfather was kidnapped by a terrorist group. Although he majored in business at the University of Miami, he wanted to pursue a music career. Iglesias originally produced songs under the name Enrique Martinez to show he didn’t need the famous Iglesias name to make it in the music business.

On the personal front, Iglesias has had a long-term relationship with Russian tennis star Anna Kournikova. His mother, Isabel Preysler, a journalist, is half Filipino and half Spanish and was divorced from his father in 1988.
